Telugu superstar Venkatesh Daggubati's hit movie "Sankrantike Vasthanam" is going to be remade in Hindi. The movie shook the South box office, and now Bollywood's Khiladi Akshay Kumar is going to bring it on the big screen in a new form.

According to a report by OTT Play, preparations are underway for a Hindi remake of Venkatesh's groundbreaking action-comedy. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, it became the second-highest-grossing Telugu film of the year. According to reports, the film grossed between ₹250 and ₹300 crore worldwide.

Reports indicate that Akshay Kumar has agreed to the remake. A source stated that Akshay was so impressed with the concept and screenplay of the Telugu film that he immediately decided to remake it in Hindi. Producer Dil Raju, who also produced the original, will also be responsible for the Hindi adaptation.

However, the lead actress for the film has not yet been finalized. The casting team is currently working on the project. Shooting was reportedly scheduled to begin earlier, but was postponed due to Akshay's busy schedule.

In "Sankranthiki Vasthanam," an Indian CEO, Aakalla (Avasarla Srinivas), is kidnapped while visiting the world's number one tech company in Hyderabad. This then leads to the entry of YD Raju (Venkatesh), a suspended police officer. As events unfold, his wife Bhagyalakshmi (Aishwarya Rajesh) and former girlfriend Meenakshi (Meenakshi Chaudhary) also become involved in the story. Together, the three try to solve this mysterious kidnapping case.

On the work front, Akshay's recent film, "Jolly LLB 3," was released in September. Next year, he will be seen in "Bhoot Bangla" alongside Paresh Rawal, Tabu, and Vamika Gabbi. Akshay also has "Welcome to the Jungle," a multi-starrer comedy, in the pipeline. He is also busy shooting for "Haiwaan," starring alongside Saif Ali Khan, Saiyami Kher, and Shriya Pilgaonkar.
