National Award winning singer Anuradha Paudwal expressed regret over the theft of Ram Mandir and was very critical of those responsible for it. She also commented on the theory that the country could be a ‘Vishwaguru’. Her comments led to a controversy and she came out of her shell to share her opinions.

In an Instagram post shared on Wednesday, Anuradha Paudwal wrote, "Greetings to all my family, friends, and fans. I appreciate the love and respect you have shown for my work. I, too, love and respect my country and its leadership. Like every other citizen, I understand that to progress and lead in the world, we must be educated. I will always support this. However, in this country, we all have the freedom to express our opinions respectfully."

She further wrote in the post, "It deeply upsets me when a conversation is sensationalized by taking it out of context and misinterpreted. I do not endorse such videos and urge people not to encourage such creators. Please note that this is not a clarification; however, no one has the right to use a conversation out of context for their own convenience."

Recently, while appearing on Shubhankar Mishra's podcast, Anuradha Paudwal expressed concern regarding the country's education system and questioned the narrative of India becoming a 'Vishwaguru'. She remarked that while people often speak of India becoming a global leader, the closure of thousands of schools raises questions about the very foundation required to achieve that goal. Anuradha Paudwal stated that until a few years ago, she too believed India would become a 'Vishwa Guru' (global mentor), but her perspective has changed after observing the current situation. She said, "A few years ago, I also felt that India would become a *Vishwa Guru*. But now, I am witnessing things that seem contrary to that vision. This nonsense must stop."

Referring to the alleged Ram Mandir donation scam, Anuradha Paudwal remarked that if such incidents occur even in places of deep faith, it raises serious concerns. She further added that if India aspires to become a *Vishwa Guru*, it must first embrace the values and principles associated with that ideal.
