Veteran actor and activist Shabana Azmi is suffering from swine flu. Doctors have advised that she take complete rest. She was all set to participate in the protest march, but now she cannot. According to the statement of Shabana Azmi's team, the 74-year-old actress has swine flu and a fever of 102 degrees.
A statement issued by Shabana Azmi's team said: "Shabana-ji was scheduled to participate in the protest march today, but unfortunately, she has swine flu and 102-degree fever; the doctor has advised her to rest."
Recently, Shabana Azmi was participating in the protest marches organized at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. She joined hands with the protestors and was using her social media to post news of what was going on there.
The veteran actress has shared pictures and videos of the protest. She had also lent her voice to the movement. Shabana Azmi (75) revealed that her health deteriorated after coming into contact with tear gas during the 'Chalo Sansad' (March to Parliament) rally on Monday. She suffered an asthma attack. She had joined the protest in support of the students. She told 'The Indian Express' that the attack was triggered by the tear gas. However, after recovering, she rejoined the protest to support the students.
