The name of the second son of actress Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja was revealed by the couple today. The couple had their second son on April 29. After 11 days from the birth of their second son, the couple disclosed the name of the baby boy, along with the meaning of the name.

On Instagram, Sonam Kapoor shared two pictures featuring the family. In the photos, Sonam and Anand can be seen holding both their sons. However, the faces of both the boys have been hidden by the couple in the pictures. Alongside the picture, Sonam penned a lengthy note and mentioned that their second son has been named Rudralok.

In her lengthy caption, Sonam wrote, "With the blessings of the divine power that has once again transformed our lives, with love and gratitude, we welcome Rudralok Kapoor Ahuja." Explaining the meaning and reason behind the name, Sonam further wrote, "In the Vedas, Rudra means 'to roar,' the supremely powerful being.

He is the destroyer of suffering, the divine force behind storms, breath, power, and change. He is deeply connected to Vayu, the life force that flows through all beings. Our first son is named after Vishnu, the sustainer of life.

Born on the holy day of Ekadashi, by the grace of Vishnu, our second son, along with his brother, are a divinely equal pair and a blessing that we wholeheartedly honor."

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja married in 2018. The couple then welcomed their first child, a son, in 2022. They named him Vayu. Four years later, on April 29, 2026, the couple welcomed their second son. Today, Sonam and Anand have also revealed their second son's name.
