Movie 'Dhurandhar 2' is creating waves at the box office. There are numerous records broken ever since the film hit the theatres. People have showered appreciation for casting and the performance of Ranveer Singh. But now, the casting director, Mukesh Chhabra, has made a revealing comment on the film.
In an interview with Zoom, Mukesh Chhabra discussed the casting process for Aditya Dhar's film 'Dhurandhar'. He explained that the decision to cast Ranveer Singh in the lead role was made before he joined, and he completely agreed with the decision.
He said, "I think Aditya Dhar felt he was perfect for this film. You must have seen how brilliantly he worked in the film. He put in so much hard work and dedication into his performance. I haven't seen a better performance in recent times."
Mukesh Chhabra also praised actress Sara Arjun, saying, "I think I'm going to show everyone Sara's audition very soon. She gave a great audition. We were clear from the start that we wanted a fresh and new approach. We didn't want to cast a big-name actor because we wanted a completely new face. A fresh face was crucial for us."
Directed by Aditya Dhar, this two-part spy thriller franchise has been a box office success. The movie stars Ranveer Singh, Sara Arjun, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and Rakesh Bedi. The first installment, released in December 2025, grossed approximately ₹1,300 crore worldwide.
