Mumbai: Actress Rashmika Mandanna has shared details of a hip injury she sustained while shooting a dance sequence for her upcoming film Mysaa, describing the project as the most aggressive film she has worked on so far.

In an Instagram post on Monday, the actress, who was recently seen in Cocktail 2, uploaded a series of pictures from her recovery period and explained the nature of the injury in a detailed note. She acknowledged that she had hoped to keep the matter private but decided to update her followers after being away from social media.

“Injuries suck, and I was really hoping that no one would get to know.. but well. Sorry I’ve been MIA but hieeee! I’m hereeee. It happened awhile ago ya and this is my 3rd injury back to back. I should definitely learn to treat my body like a human body and not some machine,” she wrote.

Mandanna said one of the four tendons connecting her right hip to her leg had detached, affecting her ability to lift the leg. The injury occurred during a dance shoot for Mysaa. “My god that’s the most aggressive film I’ve ever done for sure. But don’t worry.. it hurts but it’s not unbearable or something,” she added.

She framed the recovery period as an unexpected but necessary break. “I feel like this is god saying you’ll never take a break if it’s left to you so here.. let me do it for you.” While resting, she has been doing puzzles and is conscious of the need to manage her diet in the absence of her usual workout and running routine.

Mandanna assured fans that she would share further updates as needed and asked them not to worry. The post reflects a candid account of the physical demands of intensive dance and action-oriented sequences and the forced pause that has followed the injury.

Mysaa continues to generate interest as one of her forthcoming projects. The actress’s disclosure provides clarity on the reason for her recent absence from public platforms while she focuses on recovery.
