Mumbai: Actor Rana Daggubati and his wife Miheeka completed six years of marriage on Saturday. To mark the occasion, Miheeka shared previously unseen black-and-white photographs from their wedding on her Instagram account.
In the main image, the couple stand against a decorated backdrop as bride and groom, looking at each other. A second frame shows Miheeka during a wedding ritual, appearing as a shy bride. She captioned the post with their wedding date, “08.08.2020,” followed by a red heart emoji.
Actor Dulquer Salmaan responded in the comments with heart emojis and the note “always my favs.”
Rana and Miheeka have known each other for many years; she attended school with his sister, Malavika Daggubati. They married on August 8, 2020, during the COVID-19 lockdown in a close-knit ceremony attended by family members and a few industry friends, including Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Ram Charan and Naga Chaitanya.
On the professional front, Rana will next appear in the Telugu drama Rakshasa Raja, directed by Teja and expected to reach audiences by December. His slate also includes the Tamil political film Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara and produced by Aakash Baskaran of Dawn Pictures. The film stars Ravi Mohan, Sivakarthikeyan, Atharvaa and Sreeleela alongside him and centres on two brothers protesting the promotion of Hindi as India’s national language while facing pressure from an Intelligence Bureau officer.
Rana is also producing the war film Neelira, written and directed by Someetharan.
The anniversary post offered a private, understated glimpse of the couple’s wedding day as they marked six years together, while Rana’s upcoming projects continue to span Telugu and Tamil cinema as both actor and producer.
