Mumbai, August 7, 2026 — Producer and actor Jackky Bhagnani has released a new Independence Day anthem titled “Tere Rang Mein,” describing the track as a heartfelt tribute to the nation, its people, rich culture and the defence forces.

Speaking to IANS about the song, Bhagnani said the anthem seeks to capture the emotions that bind the country together while celebrating its diversity. “I am a proud Indian, and all we’ve tried to show through Jjust Music in Tere Rang Mein is how diverse and colourful our country is, with people from all religions and backgrounds living in together,” he shared.

He added that the composition honours both the cultural fabric of India and the courage of its armed forces. “The song is a tribute to the nation as it celebrates people and our rich culture as well as the defense forces. This Independence Day, I hope that Tere Rang Mein becomes one of the reasons of joy,” Bhagnani said.

Reflecting on the broader experience of being targeted for physical appearance, he noted: “When you are growing up you are also part of all jokes. If you are overweight or dark-skinned in this country, people don’t think twice before bullying you. For example if someone is laughing there you feel, kahin ye mujhpe toh nahi hans raha (is he laughing at me?), but in reality that person is not even aware of me.”
