MUMBAI — Entrepreneur and digital personality Mira Rajput Kapoor shared a candid look into her extended family's Raksha Bandhan celebrations on Wednesday, posting moments from an intimate domestic gathering alongside her siblings.
Documenting the festivities across her official social media channels, Rajput uploaded a formal group portrait featuring her broader family circle gathered at home. The festive update was simply captioned, "Rakhi. 2026".
A subsequent snapshot revealed a lighthearted moment between Rajput, her sisters—Priya Rajput Tulshan and Noorjehan Rajput Wadhwani—and her brother. Posing alongside boxes of heavy-duty power extension boards—the functional gifts presented for the occasion—Rajput poked fun at her brother's practical shopping choice with a humorous overlay caption: "Because we are apparently an extension of his life."
The festive post highlights Rajput's ongoing emphasis on maintaining close family ties with her maternal household in New Delhi following her 2015 marriage to actor Shahid Kapoor.
Earlier this year, the lifestyle entrepreneur sparked wide social media engagement after publishing a video reflecting on the dynamics of returning to her parents' home (maayka) as a married mother. In the viral clip, Rajput jokingly described staying with her maternal family as "a special kind of luxury," pointing out how grandmothers (nanis) step in to handle childcare duties, allowing visiting daughters unstructured rest, flexible schedules, and impromptu meal preferences.
"You get to eat whatever you want, change your mind at the last minute, and sleep whenever you want because your children are being looked after," Rajput remarked at the time, affectionately referring to her maternal home as "heaven on earth."
Rajput married actor Shahid Kapoor in an intimate ceremony in July 2015. The couple resides in Mumbai with their two children, daughter Misha and son Zain. The family recently returned to India following an extended summer vacation across Italy.
