Mumbai, July 31 — Actress Raashii Khanna, last seen in The Sabarmati Report, has spoken about receiving a thoughtful gift from Tamil superstar Rajinikanth while working on their upcoming film Dharman.

On Friday, Khanna shared an Instagram video in which she described how the book Living with the Himalayan Masters reached her in an unexpected way. During a conversation on the sets of Dharman, the two discussed spirituality. Rajinikanth asked whether she had read the book; when she said she had not, he brought a copy for her two days later.

“Living with the Himalayan Masters found me in a very special way. I was on the sets of Dharman, shooting with Rajinikanth sir. During one of our conversations, we ended up talking about spirituality. He asked me if I had read this book; I hadn’t. Two days later, he brought a copy and gifted it to me. I have been reading it diligently over the last couple of weeks because he also mentioned that he would test me on it. Anyway, I love it already, and every now and then, I come across a page that makes me stop,” she said.

Reflecting on the book’s impact, Khanna shared a personal takeaway. “What I took away from this is why so many of us feel disconnected. Not because we have lost ourselves overnight but because we have spent years becoming someone else. And maybe that’s why silence can feel so loud. Because without distractions, you are finally left with yourself.”

Dharman, directed by Ashwath Marimuthu and starring Rajinikanth and Raashii Khanna, has drawn considerable attention since its announcement and is among the more closely watched projects in Tamil cinema.

Khanna’s account of the gift highlights both the personal exchange that occurred during filming and the reflective space the book has created for her amid a busy professional schedule.
