Mumbai: Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 contestant Shagun Sharma has spoken about her experience working with filmmaker and show host Rohit Shetty, highlighting his humility, dedication and positive approach on set.

In an exclusive conversation with IANS, Sharma said Shetty’s grounded nature left a strong impression on her. She noted that despite his stature in the industry, he remained approachable and consistently motivated the contestants.

“Rohit sir taught me that even after spending so many years in the industry, I mean, sir is one of the biggest and most successful directors of our country. And still, he is so down to earth and he loves his work so much. He was also up so early in the morning and always motivating all of us. Like we were shooting in the cold, sir was also shooting there in the cold. No tantrums, nothing at all. I never heard him say anything even slightly negative or slightly like in a complaining tone or anything. So, I think I got to learn that from him that even after being so successful, sir is very down to earth,” she said.

Hosted by Rohit Shetty, the fifteenth season of Khatron Ke Khiladi carries the theme “Darr Ka Naya Daur.” The adventure-based reality show features a mix of high-intensity stunts, challenging tasks and unexpected twists. Filming took place in the scenic locations of Cape Town, South Africa.

The season’s contestant lineup includes established television names such as Avika Gor, Jasmin Bhasin, Karan Wahi, Rithvik Dhanjani, Rubina Dilaik and Vishal Aditya Singh, along with newer faces including Avinash Mishra, Farrhana Bhatt, Gaurav Khanna, Harsh Gujral, Orhan Awatramani (Orry) and Ruhanika Dhawan.

The show premiered on August 1 on Colors TV. Sharma’s comments reflect the influence of Shetty’s work ethic on the participants, particularly his willingness to share the demanding conditions of the outdoor shoots without complaint.

By emphasising consistency, early starts and a refusal to indulge in negativity, Sharma pointed to qualities she found instructive beyond the physical challenges of the competition. Her account adds a personal dimension to the behind-the-scenes atmosphere of the latest season as it begins its run on television.
