Singer and actor Prashant Tamang is no more. He breathed his last ages 43. Darjeeling singer Mahesh Seva expressed his condolences through a social media post. Director Rajesh Ghatani confirmed Tamang's death.

Singer Mahesh Seva said Prashant Tamang suffered a cardiac arrest. He was living in Delhi at the time. Mahesh Seva paid tribute to Prashant Tamang in an Instagram post on Sunday. He wrote in his post, "My condolences on the passing of my dear brother Prashant."

Prashant Tamang was the winner of "Indian Idol 3." He served in the Kolkata Police before appearing on the reality show. He was a member of the police orchestra and occasionally sang at police events. His senior advised him to participate in Indian Idol. After winning Indian Idol, Prashant released his first album with Sony BMG, which included Hindi and Nepali songs. Later, Prashant also worked as a singer and actor in Nepali films.

Prashant Tamang not only worked as a singer and actor in Nepali films, he also appeared in the Jaideep Ahlawat-starrer series "Paatal Lok 2." In this series, he played the villain Daniel Lecho. He stunned audiences with his performance.
