Singer Papon shared a video on his Twitter account. He says, "I just wanted to tell you what's happening in Assam right now. The devastation caused by the floods this year is palpable. We get a lot of rain here, and floods happen, but this time's situation is unimaginable. Villages are submerged, people are homeless, hundreds are missing, and people have lost their lives." So many animals have died. The situation is very bad, so please spread the word.

Papain further said, "I request everyone in India and around the world to please pay attention to Assam. This is a humanitarian issue. We all need to come together, do whatever we can, and do it quickly. We are all doing our part here. If you want to help, please come forward."

After shutting down power supply as a precaution during the floods, teams from the Assam Power Distribution Company Limited are conducting extensive safety checks and restoring power in a phased manner in Sivasagar, Jorhat, Charaideo, Dhubri, Bongaigaon, and other affected areas."
