Mumbai, July 31 — Actress Rashmika Mandanna, recently seen in Cocktail 2, has sustained a serious hip injury while filming an intense dance sequence and has been advised complete rest for six weeks.

The actress has been occupied with shoots for her upcoming films Ranabaali and Mysaa. According to reports, she continued through demanding action and dance schedules, resulting in a complete tendon detachment in her hip. Medical experts were reportedly surprised by the severity of the injury, noting that such tendon damage is more commonly associated with athletes undergoing rigorous physical training.

Following the rest period, Mandanna is expected to undergo a structured rehabilitation programme to restore strength. The injury is likely to affect the schedules of her ongoing film projects and brand commitments. She is currently balancing work on four major films while serving as the face of nearly 30 national and international brands.

Earlier, choreographer Brinda, who is working on a song for director Rawindra Pulle’s action entertainer Mysaa, publicly praised Mandanna’s commitment. In an Instagram post, Brinda wrote: “So happy to be working on a song in Mysaa. @rashmika_mandanna, from rehearsals to the shoot, the amount of practice and preparation you put into the song is truly incredible. Your commitment is one of the biggest reasons for your success. Having been in the industry for so many years, I can honestly say I have rarely come across an actress with this level of hard work, discipline, and dedication.”

She added: “No matter what correction I give, you always take it with a smile and immediately put it into action. Even when you’re in pain, your focus never shifts and you work even harder. I’m sure audiences will see the effort you’ve poured into this film. Can’t wait for the release of Mysaa and for the world to see the magic you created on screen.”

Mysaa has generated significant anticipation since its announcement. The production recently completed a crucial underwater sequence featuring Mandanna, further heightening interest in the project.

The enforced break comes at a time of heavy professional activity for the actress, underscoring the physical demands of her current slate of action and dance-intensive roles.
