Zareen Khan began her career in the film industry with Salman Khan’s film "Veer." She was often compared to Katrina Kaif. However, Zareen Khan’s career did not achieve the same heights as Katrina Kaif’s. Zareen Khan worked in successful films like "Housefull 2" and "Hate Story 3." However, her film "Aksar 2," released in 2017, got her into trouble. According to Zareen Khan, she did not even get a chance to attend the premiere of her film.

Recently, Zareen Khan discussed the issue of being shunned by the film world during a chat with Pooja Bhatt for the Mammoth Media Asia podcast. She said, "After doing 'Hate Story,' many people in the film world started looking down on me.

They would say, 'Because she can't act, she decided to strip.'" Recalling her first meeting with Anant Mahadevan, Zareen said the makers initially pitched the project as a stylish noir film.

They assured her that it wouldn't have bold scenes like "Hate Story 3." He narrated the script in very simple English and said, "We're not making a hate story. We're making a genre noir." I thought, "Okay." But upon arriving on set, every other scene would either end with a kiss or I'd suddenly be asked to wear a bra or something similar.

The makers deliberately started demanding kissing or intimacy scenes in every other scene.

The actress further explained, "I told them, 'I have no problem doing intimate scenes, but you gave me a completely different brief. Now, just because you've seen the film, you want to add all this.'

Later, I realized the director was spineless. He would tell the producers one version of the story and me and my costume designer, Shahid Aamir, another. As the film progressed, differences between the team members grew.

The makers suddenly started demanding bra scenes, kissing scenes, or something provocative in almost every scene, all because I had done a similar film before. This is not right."

However, despite the growing tension, Zareen completed the film. She says, "I'm not one to throw tantrums. I know people's money is at stake, so I always try to find a middle ground through dialogue. But by the time the film was completed, the situation had deteriorated so much that I wasn't even invited to my own film's screening." Zareen also alleged that media reports at the time misrepresented her as a difficult person to work with.

Zareen was last seen in the 2021 film "Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele."
