Actress Shilpa Shinde, who is known for her work on television, has once again discussed her battle with the producers of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! Almost ten years since she walked out of the series in 2016, Shilpa claims that her allegations against the producer Sanjay Kohli of sexual harassment were false. She clarifies that she did not make the complaint by choice, but rather had no other option back then.

In a conversation with Bharti Singh, Shilpa said, "I filed a sexual harassment case against my producer because I had no other option." Eventually, I got out of that situation because the matter was resolved. At that time, no producer supported me, so I filed a case. The police say you have to exaggerate things to file an FIR. I come from a legal background. I'm saying today on that basis that the allegation was false. I'm admitting this for the first time. Later, our payments were settled, and the matter was resolved.

Shilpa also revealed that she returned to the franchise after more than a decade because it was writer Manoj Santoshi's wish, who felt hurt by the altercation. The actor further stated that despite everything that happened, she is working with the team again and now has a good relationship with them.

Shilpa Shinde's exit from the show in 2016 sparked controversy. At the time, Shilpa left the show amid disputes over her contract and alleged non-payment of dues. The show's producers accused her of being unprofessional and sent her a legal notice. Responding to the notice, Shilpa accused producer Binaifer Kohli and producer Sanjay Kohli. She also alleged that she was being pressured into a stringent contract. The dispute was eventually resolved through a settlement. Shilpa subsequently returned to the Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! franchise.
