After the match, Big B wrote on his blog, "The game is over; Spain has become the champion, and Messi has lost. There are emotional tears in my eyes... it is very saddening. But such a day inevitably comes in every champion's life. As you move forward, you realize that someone better than you has arrived. Cherish the love and glory you have received."

He further noted that there comes a time in every great player's life when the new generation takes their place.

Following the excitement of the World Cup, Amitabh Bachchan also mentioned the fans who gathered outside his home, 'Jalsa'. Despite heavy rains in Mumbai, hundreds of fans had arrived on Sunday to see him. Amidst this, a unique sight caught his attention.

A fan had brought their pet dog wearing a raincoat to protect it from the rain. Commenting on this in a lighthearted manner, Big B wrote, "This can only happen in India! The dog was dressed in a raincoat to shield it from the monsoon. Another name for India is 'Jugaad' (resourceful improvisation) and innovation."
