Actress Ankita Lokhande and her husband Vicky Jain sought forgiveness from everyone for any hurt they may have caused, knowingly or unknowingly. Ankita shared glimpses from their temple visit on Instagram, wearing a traditional orange saree and taking part in the rituals with enthusiasm.

She captioned the post: "With a clean heart, we seek forgiveness for any hurt caused knowingly or unknowingly. Micchami Dukkadam (Folded hands emoji) Uttam Kshama (red heart emoji) (sic)."

Arjun Bijlani's Comment Steals the Show

The post drew a light-hearted response from actor Arjun Bijlani, who has been their co-contestant on Laughter Chef. He commented, "Chal maaf kiya," followed by a laughing-with-tears emoji.

The playful reply reflects the easy camaraderie the three share from the show.

What Is Uttam Kshama and Kshamavani?

Das Lakshan Parva is the Digambar Jain observance of ten virtues, with each day dedicated to one: forgiveness, humility, straightforwardness, contentment, truthfulness, self-restraint, penance, renunciation, non-attachment and celibacy. Uttam Kshama, or supreme forgiveness, is the first of these virtues.

The festival encourages spiritual discipline and ethical living, and culminates in Kshamavani, the day of universal forgiveness. This year, Kshamavani falls on Sunday, September 27. On this day, Digambara Jains offer and seek forgiveness for any wrongs committed knowingly or unknowingly, which is exactly the spirit of Ankita's caption.

"Micchami Dukkadam" is the traditional phrase Jains use while seeking forgiveness.

Why It Matters: A Tradition in the Spotlight

Celebrity posts often bring lesser-known traditions to a wider audience. For many of Ankita's followers outside the Jain community, her post may be their first introduction to Kshamavani, a practice built around a simple but powerful idea: asking for forgiveness openly, without waiting for a specific wrong to be named.

A Season of Celebrations

The post follows another festive moment for Ankita. She recently hosted a grand Gauri-Ganpati celebration at her home with family and friends. Television producer Ektaa Kapoor, a close friend and mentor, was also present.

In a video, Ankita explained the significance of Gauri Sthapna to Ektaa, describing how the tradition is observed in Maharashtrian households. The Pavitra Rishta actress said Gauri Maa comes to her maika (maternal home) during the festival, and after spending some time there, returns with her son, Lord Ganesha, marked by the Gauri-Ganpati Visarjan.

From welcoming Gauri Maa to seeking forgiveness on Kshamavani, Ankita's recent posts show a couple embracing traditions from both their families, with friends like Arjun Bijlani adding a dose of humour along the way.
