During a conversation with Shubhankar Mishra, Akshay Kumar said that his son is like him in many ways, especially regarding discipline and fitness. He said, "We're very similar. He loves health, and so do I. He's tall and very focused. He loves working. But he doesn't want to be in films. He has no such plans. He wants to go into fashion."

Akshay further revealed that Aarav is pursuing a career in fashion and is still working a 4500 rupee job. "Khiladi Kumar" added, "That poor guy is still working a 4500 rupee job. It's a good thing, why not? He's going to villages and learning fashion, different prints and everything. I don't lecture him much, but I do tell him not to harm anyone."
