Anurag Kashyap raised a concern over lack of screenings for Indian movies. According to him, Indian movies are getting less screen time whereas the Hollywood movie named ‘Obsession’ is receiving more screen time in theaters.

Kashyap wrote an Instagram story, where he pointed out that he understands the fact that people want to see 'Obsession' but this does not justify that Indian films will receive fewer showtimes. He questioned how will the industry prosper when our own films don’t receive their due.

As mentioned above, Anurag's 'Bandar,' Vedang Raina and Sharvari's film 'I'm Back,' Manoj Bajpayee’s film 'Governor' and a Telugu movie 'Sing Geetham' are receiving fewer screenings in the theaters. In contrast, 'Obsession' is receiving 6-7 screenings whereas the other films are having just one morning show.

"Bandar" is directed by Anurag Kashyap himself and stars Bobby Deol, Sapna Pabbi, Sanya Malhotra, Saba Azad, Raj B. Shetty, Jitendra Joshi, Riddhi Sen, Indrajit Sukumaran, and Nagesh Bhosle.

Meanwhile, the Hollywood film "Obsession" is performing exceptionally well at the box office. It has grossed over $224.7 million worldwide so far, becoming its studio's biggest hit.

The film stars Michael Johnston and Inde Navarrete in lead roles. The story revolves around a man who becomes embroiled in dangerous and horrific events in his quest to win the love of his crush.

Earlier, Ram Gopal Varma also praised "Obsession" highly. He said that watching the film reminded him of his film "Kaun." He also said that he himself has become 'obsessed' with the film and it has changed the thinking about the success of films in theatres.
