At the David Dhawan Film Festival in Mumbai, the director discussed the changing times of comedy films. He said, "Comedy films are scrutinized more closely than ever before. You can't insult women in the name of a joke anymore. Films are scrutinized more rigorously today than they used to be."

David Dhawan also spoke about his personal life. He said, "At this age, I too feel tired. But I never get tired while making a film." There's talk in the industry that "Hai Jawani To Ishq Hona Hai" could be David Dhawan's last film as a director.
