Actress Rhea Chakraborty has made her jail ordeal very clear. Some new details of her jail life have been exposed by her. Actress Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in September 2020, which was some months after the demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Actress Rhea Chakraborty had spent around 27 days in jail before being released on bail.

Rhea recently talked to comedian Tanmay Bhat regarding this ordeal. She gave details of her life inside a women’s undertrial jail. Moreover, she made jokes about her toughest times in life.

During the conversation, Tanmay asked Riya what people in jail usually do to pass the time. The actress replied, "They sing, dance, and make thecha (a type of chutney)."

Riya said, "People inside jail are better than those outside because most people, at least in women's under-trial jails, are innocent, and there's no discrimination. Everyone is equal, and everyone has an identification number. There are no names."

Riya also talked about how people treated her during altercations. Recalling an awkward situation, she said, "It used to happen to me that if people were joking around in a group and I would come in, they would suddenly change their tone and say, 'Ha ha ha, hey, hi Riya, how are you?'"

On the work front, Riya will be seen in the second season of the reality series "The Traitors." It will be hosted by Karan Johar and premiere on Prime Video on August 13, 2026.

Rhea will also be seen in the upcoming Netflix series "Family Business," directed by Hansal Mehta and also starring Anil Kapoor and Vijay Varma.
