Sunny Deol has unveiled the motion poster of his upcoming crime thriller Suryaa: Ant Se Aarambh Tak, introducing a version of himself audiences haven’t seen before.

“Torn between Past and Present, He uncovers the TRUTH! Presenting Kamal Mukut’s #SURYAA: अंत से आरंभ तक! IN CINEMAS 20th November 2026,” he wrote on Instagram.

A Story Across Time

The tagline, “From the End to the Beginning,” hints at the film’s structure. The story reportedly unfolds across three phases of the lead character’s life and two different eras, following a man whose search for answers draws him into a web of crime, mystery and emotional conflict.

The Gadar 2 Connection

The film’s backstory adds to the interest. Producer Kamal Mukut has said he signed Sunny Deol for two films: Gadar 2 and Suryaa. With Gadar 2 becoming a blockbuster, Suryaa is the second half of that deal. Drawing on more than five decades in the industry, Mukut has described the film as the story of a common man.

Why It Matters: Sunny Deol Beyond the Action Hero

After Gadar 2 and Border 2, Sunny Deol is firmly back as one of Hindi cinema’s biggest box office draws, largely through larger-than-life, patriotic action roles. Suryaa appears to take a different path: a brooding, weathered character driven by memory and mystery rather than spectacle.

It is a smart moment for a change. Audiences have seen plenty of Sunny’s trademark intensity in recent years; a quieter, layered crime drama could show another side of the actor, much like veteran stars in other industries who have found new success with character-driven thrillers.

Two Releases in 15 Days

November is shaping up to be a big month for Sunny Deol:

Film Release
Ramayana: Part 1 November 5
Suryaa November 20

That puts him in the year’s biggest mythological spectacle and a gritty crime thriller within just over two weeks.
