Mumbai, Aug 2 — Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh is making the most of his time in Japan before beginning his much-awaited Europe Tour.
The Udta Punjab actor recently shared photographs and video clips from his Tokyo visit, offering a glimpse into a travel itinerary filled with food, shopping and local experiences. In the posts he is seen exploring the city’s vibrant streets, sampling Japanese delicacies, enjoying an ice cream and browsing in local shops.
One clip shows him entering a grocery store, looking through items and having a cup of coffee. He captioned the post: “Jatt in Japan. Before Europe Tour Shopping in Tokyo.” Alongside the images he listed the dates and venues of his upcoming concerts.
The Europe Tour is scheduled to begin in Berlin on August 21, followed by performances in Dublin on August 25, Paris on August 28, Vienna on August 30, Milan on September 5, Amsterdam on September 7, London on September 12, Birmingham on September 18 and Manchester on September 20.
Separately, Dosanjh recently drew attention for expressing support for students after the Delhi Police’s reported action against demonstrators during a protest march to Parliament on July 20. In a social media post he recalled the criticism he faced after supporting the farmers’ protest and said he was prepared for similar reactions again.
“Mere Te Already Anti Nationalist Da Tag Baut Vaar Lagg Chuka.. Hun V Mainu Anti-nationalist Keha Jaega. After Kisan Protest.. I faced a Lot of Backlash & Legal Problems which I can’t Even Discuss.. Baki Rab Sab Dekh Reha, Baba Bhalli Karu,” he wrote, translating to: “I have already been labelled an ‘anti-national’ many times. Even now, I know I will be called anti-national again. After the farmers’ protest, I faced a lot of backlash and legal problems that I still cannot even discuss. The rest, God is watching everything. May Baba bless everyone.”
The Tokyo posts present a lighter, personal interlude as Dosanjh prepares for an extensive series of live performances across Europe.
