The makers of Suriya's Scene have released the film's first single, "Aathi Iva Yarraa" in Tamil and "Ammo Idi Evarraa" in Telugu. Production house Zhagaram Studios shared it on X, writing, "It's time to vibe!"
The song is composed by Sushin Shyam, with lyrics by Rajpriyan, who has also sung it.
Meet Inbaraj
The title teaser, released a few days ago, introduced Suriya as Inbaraj, a cop whose reputation precedes him. A jail warden warns inmates, "When suspects see Inbaraj sir, they start behaving in an erratic fashion... No one should step outside. Inbaraj sir is coming."
In one scene, Suriya tells a prisoner, "Take a good look at my face. To you, I might be the only cop to have ever arrested you. But to me, you are one among the 900 odd criminals I've locked up in prison."
Why It Matters: A Proven Malayalam Team Behind a Tamil Star
Much of the excitement around Scene comes from the team behind it. Director Jithu Madhavan and composer Sushin Shyam were part of the Malayalam hit Aavesham, known for its quirky energy and chartbuster music. Pairing that team with a star like Suriya, plus Naslen, who rose to fame with Premalu, makes Scene one of the more intriguing cross-industry projects of the year.
A Big Diwali Clash
Scene releases worldwide on November 6, for Deepavali. That is the same day Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana: Part 1, starring Ranbir Kapoor, releases worldwide. While Ramayana targets a pan-India audience, Scene is expected to dominate in Tamil Nadu and the Telugu states, setting up an interesting festive box office battle.
