Mumbai: Actress Kajol marked her 52nd birthday on August 5 with a spontaneous celebration at Mumbai airport, pausing to cut a cake with the paparazzi before boarding her flight.

Dressed in a comfortable white co-ord set paired with a vibrant pink printed shawl, Kajol appeared cheerful as photographers sang the birthday song for her. She flashed her trademark smile while cutting the cake, seeming both surprised and appreciative of the gesture.

Her daughter Nysa Devgn chose to remain away from the cameras. Holding her passport and ticket copies, she stayed largely out of frame, maintaining her usual preference for privacy.

Kajol had begun the day on a healthy note, sharing a glimpse of her gym workout on social media in which she was seen lifting dumbbells. She also received an outpouring of birthday wishes from members of the film fraternity on their respective social media accounts.

Earlier, before heading to the airport, Kajol celebrated with her birthday twin, actor Vatsal Sheth. The two cut cakes together in the presence of family. Kajol’s mother, veteran actress Tanuja, sister Tanishaa Mukherjee, and her children Nysa and Yug were present, clapping as the birthday pair marked the occasion.

Professionally, Kajol made her acting debut with Bekhudi in 1992 and went on to deliver memorable performances in films such as Baazigar, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Gupt, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham..., Fanaa, My Name Is Khan, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior and Salaam Venky, among others.

The airport celebration added a light, public moment to a day that otherwise included private family time and personal wellness, reflecting the actress’s long-standing ease with both her audience and the media.
