Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu is starring in the upcoming film "Varanasi" by director Rajamouli. It is considered the biggest and most expensive film ever produced in Indian movies. Actress Priyanka Chopra from Bollywood is playing the lead part in the film. On the other hand, Rahul Dev has replied to a statement made long ago by Mahesh Babu.

Speaking with Hindi Rush, actor Rahul Dev spoke about Mahesh Babu. During this, Rahul, referring to his "Takkari Donga" co-star Mahesh Babu's statement that Bollywood couldn't afford him, said, "He doesn't know how to speak, that's the truth." However, Rahul Dev winked while saying this, indicating that Rahul was making the comment in a joking manner. Following Rahul Dev's response, Mahesh Babu's statement has once again made headlines.

Mahesh Babu spoke about working in Bollywood during the trailer launch of one of his films in 2022. During this time, the actor had said that Bollywood couldn't afford him.

On the question of working in Hindi films, Mahesh Babu said, "It may sound arrogant, but I've received many offers from Hindi films, but I feel they can't afford me.

I don't want to waste my time. Because of the stardom and love I've received in Telugu cinema, I've never considered moving to any other industry." I always believed that I would make films here and they would be big hits, and now that belief is coming true. I couldn't be happier."

On the work front, Mahesh Babu's next film is SS Rajamouli's much-awaited "Varanasi." He will also star alongside Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles.

Mahesh Babu plays the character Rudra in the film. However, he will also appear as Lord Rama in the Ramayana-based portion of the film. This big-budget film is scheduled to release in theaters on April 7, 2027.
