Mammootty shared this news on X (formerly Twitter). He wrote, "Patriot" will be released in theaters worldwide on May 1, 2026. Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Mammootty and Mohanlal's action spy thriller.

When the release date of "Patriot" was previously postponed, the film team issued a statement stating that they wanted to deliver the film to audiences with the highest quality. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the release had to be postponed for a few days.

The film was released on October 2nd last year. In the teaser, a mysterious voice talks about some leaders controlling people in the name of faith. The teaser shows Mammootty on a secret mission, Mohanlal playing a soldier, and Fahadh Faasil's entry adds further tension to the story. The film appears to be based on power struggles and deep conflicts.
