Television actor Avinash Mishra has won the 15th season of Rohit Shetty's stunt-based reality show "Khatron Ke Khiladi." He took the trophy on Sunday after beating Rithvik Dhanjani and Orhan Awatramani (Ori) in the grand finale, where the three faced the toughest challenge of the season. The show returned to television after a two-year break.

What He Won

Along with the trophy, Avinash received prize money of ₹20 lakh, a trip to Europe and a new car.

The Road to the Trophy

This season was filmed in Cape Town, where contestants faced stunts involving heights and underwater tasks. Avinash gradually established himself as one of the strongest performers. His showing during "Team Week" was an early highlight, and he later earned a special "Fear Jacket" signed by Rohit Shetty for his work in several difficult stunts.

The real turning point was an underwater stunt against veteran contestant Karan Wahi. By winning it, Avinash secured a place in the top 5 and became the season's first finalist. He carried that momentum into the finale. Karan Wahi and Farhana Bhatt were the other finalists.

"The One I Proved Something to Was Myself"

After the win, Avinash said he had signed up thinking he needed to prove something, but the person he ended up proving something to was himself. He said he had spent years in television and enjoyed being seen as a good-looking face on screen, but knew people wanted to see more of him.

He also described the show as largely a mental game. According to him, a person can prepare physically, but standing at the edge of something frightening leaves no room for pretence, only fear and the decision made in that moment. He said he leaves the show with a confidence he did not have before, which he considers his biggest victory.

Why This Win Matters

Reality shows often reshape how audiences see television actors, and Avinash's win fits that pattern. Known mainly for polished on-screen roles, he used the show to present a tougher, more resilient side. His victory over a field that included a veteran like Karan Wahi may help him reach a wider range of projects.
