Mumbai, Aug 1 — Actor Gauahar Khan has strongly defended her husband Zaid Darbar after his Alliance co-contestant Arsalan Goni was shown abusing him behind his back, stating “guts hai toh samne gaali do.”
Khan shared a reel from a fan club that featured a snippet from an upcoming episode. In the clip, Aly Goni, Arsalan and Daisy are seen discussing Zaid; Arsalan then abuses him and remarks that he has gone mad.
Posting the video on her Instagram stories, Khan wrote: “Shameful words for someone that too behind his back. Guts hai toh samne gaali do (if you have guts abuse him in front of Zaid! Jab ace banne ke liye vote diya tha tab toh gaali nahi di thi Arsalan. Apni soch dikhate hai.”
Khan married Zaid Darbar in 2020. The couple has two sons—Zehaan, born in 2023, and Farwaan, born in 2025.
Zaid, Aly Goni, Arsalan and Daisy are contestants on Alliance, which began streaming on June 26 and is hosted by Kunal Kemmu. The Hindi-language show, produced by Banijay Asia, is the first international adaptation of Talpa Studios’ Dutch format created by John de Mol. Sixteen contestants enter as allies, but shifting loyalties, deception and strategic gameplay test every alliance in the race for the ultimate prize.
Khan began her career as a model and won Bigg Boss season 7 in 2013. She made her acting debut in Yash Raj Films’ Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year (2009) and later appeared in films including the action thriller Game (2011), the revenge drama Ishaqzaade, the suspense thriller Fever, the romantic comedy Badrinath Ki Dulhania and the period drama Begum Jaan.
Her public response underscored her objection to remarks made about her husband in his absence and called for any criticism to be expressed directly.
