Amidst the ongoing debate regarding a third marriage, Amin Hajee described Aamir Khan as a deeply emotional person who has endured heartbreak multiple times in his life. He also shared significant insights into the actor's personal life.
Speaking to Rediff, Amin noted that while people might joke about Aamir finding love again, the 61-year-old actor's personal life has also been marked by pain, tears, and difficult times that are invisible to outsiders.
In his interview with Rediff, Amin said, "People joke about him finding love again after so long, but 15 years is a long time. I have seen him heartbroken. I have seen him cry. Relationships aren't as simple as outsiders perceive them to be, and it is wrong to assume that only one person is responsible for a marriage falling apart."
He added, "The truth is that Aamir is completely dedicated to his work. Whatever he does, he does with total sincerity and passion. Such dedication comes at a price. Living with someone so immersed in their work can sometimes make the other person feel neglected."
Discussing Aamir's perspective on marriage and his relationships with his ex-wives and children, Amin said, "Many people become bitter after a relationship ends, but Aamir isn't like that. He has always respected the institution of marriage.
Every time he has moved forward in life, he has done so responsibly. He has always ensured that his former family and children are well taken care of." ‘Very few people understand this.’
Aamir Khan’s first marriage was to Reena Dutta, lasting from 1986 to 2002. Subsequently, he married filmmaker Kiran Rao; that marriage lasted from 2005 to 2021. Now, on July 5, Aamir Khan married Gauri Spratt in a private ceremony at his home in Bandra, Mumbai. This is his third marriage.
