The makers of Sooraj Barjatya’s Yeh Prem Mol Liya have released its new song, Jhumka Patola. Sung by Shreya Ghoshal, composed by Himesh Reshammiya and written by Sonia Kapoor Reshammiya, the track features Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari.

The song celebrates “pariwaar aur prem ke tohfe,” the gifts of family and love, with festive rhythms and emotional moments, according to the makers.

Third Song in a Winning Run

Jhumka Patola follows the film’s title track Yeh Prem Mol Liya and the Navratri anthem Jai Ambe Bol. The makers say the songs have together crossed 250 million views across platforms, with over 100 million views on the Himesh Reshammiya Melodies YouTube channel.

Why It Matters: The Rajshri Sound Is Back

Few studios are as closely linked to family songs as Rajshri Productions. For decades, its films have given Indian weddings and family gatherings some of their most-played songs, built around celebration, relationships and togetherness.

Jhumka Patola, with its focus on family and festive joy, signals that Yeh Prem Mol Liya is returning to that tradition. In a year dominated by action spectacles and horror-comedies, the film is positioning itself as a wholesome family entertainer, and its music is central to that pitch.

It also reunites Sooraj Barjatya with Himesh Reshammiya, who last worked together on Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015).

A New Prem

In the film, Ayushmann Khurrana steps into the role of “Prem,” Rajshri’s iconic hero, a character earlier played by Salman Khan in films such as Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. It is Ayushmann’s first film with Barjatya and his first pairing with Sharvari.

The film also marks Barjatya’s return to direction after Uunchai, which won him the National Award for Best Director.
