Mumbai: Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan evoked her iconic character Geet from the 2007 film Jab We Met during a holiday in Venice, sharing mirror selfies with the caption “Main apni favourite hoon.”
Posting a series of images from her Italian getaway, Kapoor wrote: “My mirror selfies are always on point. Main apni favourite hoon … don’t forget !! Venezia 2026.” The photographs showed her in relaxed travel attire, capturing the self-assured spirit associated with the dialogue.
The line “Main apni favourite hoon” was delivered by Kapoor as the talkative Punjabi character Geet Dhillon in Imtiaz Ali’s romantic comedy Jab We Met. The film, which also starred Shahid Kapoor, Tarun Arora, Saumya Tandon and Dara Singh, followed a heartbroken businessman, Aditya Kashyap, who meets Geet on a train. After missing their connection, the two embark on a journey that leads to Geet’s home and gradually transforms both characters. The story is set across Mumbai, Bathinda and Shimla.
On the professional front, Kapoor is preparing for Meghna Gulzar’s Daayra, in which she will share the screen with Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran for the first time. The drama is scheduled for a September release. Set in the world of crime and justice, the film casts Prithviraj as a police inspector and Kapoor in a fierce, enigmatic role.
She was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again (2024), which featured an ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn, Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff.
By revisiting one of her most quoted lines while on holiday, Kapoor linked a light personal moment to a character that remains closely associated with her public image nearly two decades after the film’s release. The Venice posts offered fans a brief, playful glimpse into her travels ahead of her next major screen appearance.
