Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage's real name is Nicolas Kim Coppola. He also revealed the reason behind changing the name last year. He made his stage name his legal name.

In an interview with People magazine, the actor said, "I am Nic Cage. I legally changed my name last year. I am Nic Cage in real life, and I am Nic Cage in front of the camera. It's better to remain the head of my own small family than to stand on the sidelines of someone else's family and be their cousin. That's why I decided to be known by this name."

Actor Nic Cage took his surname from the Marvel Comics character Luke Cage. He revealed that there was a lot of discussion about this character in his family. Nic Cage said, "I thought, 'Okay.' I'll keep the name 'Nicholas,' because my father named me Nicholas. I don't care whether people call me Nick or Nicholas. I'm both. I think people know me by both names."

Nic Cage is the son of the late August Coppola, the older brother of Francis Ford Coppola, and Shirley Talia Rose Coppola. Other famous members of the Coppola family include Francis Ford's daughter, Sofia Coppola, and Talia's son, Jason.

Talking about Nic Cage's upcoming project, he will be seen in the film "Spider Noir," a sequel to the "Spider-Man" franchise. The actor's fans are excited to see him in this film.
