Paresh Rawal, veteran actor who is cast alongside Akshay Kumar in "Hera Pheri" series, spoke about the legal notice worth 25 crores sent to him by his co-star Akshay Kumar. This legal notice was a result of Rawal's comment regarding his refusal to participate in "Hera Pheri 3" last year. Rawal claims that his decision wasn't connected to any personal enmity but contractual issues.

Speaking to Vicky Lalwani, Paresh Rawal clarified that his decision to step away from the project had nothing to do with feeling uncomfortable working with Akshay. He stated, "It wasn't a case of me feeling uncomfortable working with Akshay Kumar."

"It was a contractual issue. If I were to do the film, I needed Firoz Nadiadwala's approval, as he is the sole owner of the 'Hera Pheri' franchise-as well as films like 'Awara Paagal Deewana', 'Welcome', and others."

"I couldn't make any commitment until I received his approval. When the legal notice arrived, I wondered, 'Why am I being dragged into legal matters? Did I come here to enjoy making a film or to get entangled in this?' I told myself I didn't want to be a part of it anymore."

Regarding the legal notice, Paresh Rawal remarked, "I genuinely feel the legal notice was an emotional reaction. Perhaps the sentiment was, 'How could he say no to me?' He must have been emotionally upset."

"As for not receiving Firoz's approval, that was a matter between Akshay and Firoz." I never tried to delve too deeply into it. There was never any reason for a rift between Akshay and me-absolutely none.

Despite the long-standing uncertainty surrounding the film, Paresh stated that whenever the project takes off, he will definitely work on it, regardless of who directs or produces it. He remains fully committed to the film.

"Whenever they make it, I will be there." When asked if he and Akshay had sat down later to discuss the issue or if the actor had apologized, Paresh said the matter was resolved without any formal conversation.

"We never sat down to talk about it, but we worked together later. Sometimes, you don't even need words. It is a dignified way to resolve things."

Recently, Priyadarshan confirmed that he is no longer associated with *Hera Pheri 3*. Earlier this year, he had expressed hope that the film would eventually be made, even if not by 2026. Producer Firoz Nadiadwala was the first to reveal Priyadarshan's departure, a fact the filmmaker subsequently confirmed himself.
