But people still like Priyadarshan's movies. There are some movies of Priyadarshan that remain close to his fans' hearts. Now, Priyadarshan is coming up with a film titled 'Bhoot Bangla' featuring Akshay Kumar. This film is set to release in a few days. The release date of this film is April 10. But before that, he shared his experience working with Govinda in an interview.
While talking to Mashable India, filmmaker Priyadarshan shared an interesting anecdote about actor Govinda. He said, "I received the Padma Shri, and in an interview, I was asked if it was my biggest achievement."
So, I said no, my biggest achievement is that I called Govinda and Salman Khan to the set at 5 a.m. and completed the film on time.
Priyadarshan further explained that he had a clear conversation with Govinda before filming began. He said, "I told Govinda, 'I've heard a lot of things about you, so if you can't come on time, please don't do this film.' But let me tell you one thing, he came on set on time every day. I really enjoyed working with him."
The director also revealed that Govinda would often change or add new dialogues on set, though he didn't like this very much. Priyadarshan laughed and said, "Govinda used to write his own dialogues, so I told him, 'I'm already paying Neeraj Vohra (screenwriter), I don't need another writer.'"
Govinda had worked in Priyadarshan's film 'Bhagam Bhaag', which remains a favorite comedy film for many today.
