Ram Charan’s film Peddi is still running in theatres. It did great in terms of box-office collection and was appreciated by some critics while some did not like it very much. Right after the film, the acting of Janhvi Kapoor was greatly criticised and the film received some controversies. Now, at the success party of the film, Ram Charan talks about the criticisms and tells why his daughter no longer calls him 'Nanna' after this film.

Speaking at the event, Ram Charan says that Peddi has transformed his life in a way that no other film has ever done before. “You have made this film so successful that I fear that you will forget Ram Charan but only Peddi. This is because I saw the same happening at home.”

Before the film's release, my little daughter Klin Kaara used to call me 'Nanna'. But now, she calls me 'Hey Peddi'. When I ask her not to do that, she calls me 'Peddi Nanna'. In other words, she has forgotten me too." Chiranjeevi, who was present at the event, smiled upon hearing this.

Before thanking the audience for the film's success, Ram also expressed his gratitude to the ‘Peddi’ team. The actor recalled a dialogue from the movie ‘Tagore’: "Telugu people do not take a liking to someone easily, but once they do, they love them until their dying breath."

Similarly, regardless of what anyone said or how the reviews were written, this film truly belongs not to us, but to the audience. He also thanked the audience for sharing their reviews and focusing on the positive aspects after watching the film.

'Peddi' is directed by Buchi Babu Sana. Apart from Ram Charan, the film features Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu, and Boman Irani in key roles. The music for the film has been composed by A.R. Rahman. It has become the highest-grossing Telugu film of the year.
