There is a protest ongoing in Delhi’s Jantar Mantar in connection with the NEET exam paper leak. There has been a movement against the paper leak which has been initiated by an organization that has named themselves the “Cockroach Janta Party”. The movement had initially started on social media and later extended itself to the streets through a march held from Jantar Mantar to Parliament, where the protests are still continuing. Several celebrities have been joining the students’ protest either by participating in it or commenting about it on social media. Sonu Nigam was recently questioned about the same. Here is what he said:
Famous singer Sonu Nigam recently attended an event where he faced several questions. During the interaction, he was asked about the student protests. When asked, "What would you like to say about the protests happening in Delhi?", Sonu Nigam replied, "What have I come here for? That's enough, that's enough." When a follow-up question was asked, he said, "That's it for now, enough."
The video showing the singer's reaction to the question about the protest is going viral on social media. He is facing significant trolling over this; some people are talking about unfollowing him, while others are calling for a boycott. Some users are even labeling him a "so-called celebrity."
