Mumbai: Bollywood star Sunny Deol is set to make his debut on the hot seat of Kaun Banega Crorepati when he joins Aamir Khan and Preity Zinta for the grand premiere of Season 18.

The trio will appear on the quiz show to promote their upcoming film Batwara 1947 alongside host Amitabh Bachchan.

In a new promo shared by the channel on social media, Aamir Khan is seen playfully questioning Bachchan about the season’s theme, “Sochna Padega.” “Aapne promo mein kaha hai ‘Sochna Padega’, toh kya sochna padega?” Aamir asked.

Responding in his familiar style, Amitabh Bachchan said: “Itna aasan nahi hone wala hai, kyunki sochna padta hai na, bhaisaab.” (It’s not going to be that easy, because one has to think.) Aamir quickly agreed: “Sochna padega, Sir... waakai sochna padega.”

The episode will mark Sunny Deol’s first appearance on the Kaun Banega Crorepati hot seat. Sunny shares a long-standing family connection with Bachchan through his father, veteran actor Dharmendra. Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra worked together in several memorable films, including Sholay, Chupke Chupke and Ram Balram, and have remained among Hindi cinema’s most respected contemporaries. Sunny has also shared the screen with Bachchan in Insaniyat.

Batwara 1947 is set against the backdrop of the Partition of India and explores the human trauma of that period. The film is scheduled to release on August 14 and also stars Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol and others alongside Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta.

The KBC premiere appearance brings together three of the film’s lead actors with one of television’s most enduring hosts, offering a high-profile promotional platform ahead of the Independence Day-timed release.
