What Is 'Lock Upp'
Created by Ekta Kapoor, "Lock Upp" is a jail-themed reality show where celebrity contestants, called "inmates," live in a prison-style set-up and are stripped of everyday amenities while competing in tasks to avoid eviction. Season 1 (2022), hosted by Kangana Ranaut, was won by Munawar Faruqui, with Payal Rohatgi as runner-up. The show's format also includes a "bail" mechanic, giving evicted or struggling contestants a path back into the game.
