Complaint lodged by TV actor and presenter Vipul Roy against his domestic worker employed via an online portal on charges of theft of foreign money, gold, and diamond. Investigation into the matter is currently under way by police authorities.
TV actor and host Vipul has filed a complaint against a maid hired through an online platform. According to the police, he has accused her of stealing foreign currency worth ₹5 lakh and gold and diamond jewelry worth ₹2 lakh from his home in the Khar area.
According to PTI, Vipul has named the maid as Deepali Kharwa in his complaint. Vipul claims that Deepali had worked at his house several times before and that he had rehired her just a few days ago.
He alleged that when he was about to leave for work, he checked his wardrobe drawers and discovered that several valuables were missing. According to police, the actor filed a complaint against her after returning from abroad.
According to the news agency, Vipul stated in his complaint that 30 notes of $100, 7,000 dirhams, and 14,500 Thai baht, totaling ₹5 lakh, were stolen, along with a silver bracelet worth ₹85,000 and gold and diamond rings worth ₹1.25 lakh. Police stated that they are gathering information about Deepali before taking any action against her. The actor has not posted about this on social media.
