He said that he is a brown belt in the Japanese martial art Goju-Ryu. However, his goal was to get a black belt, but due to his father's job transfer, he could not achieve it. He has used this ability of his in the upcoming film Veda. His co-star in the film and famous actor John Abraham has also praised him.

The actor said that he has spent four years training in martial arts in Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu. His father used to work in a nuclear power plant there. He said that two more years of training were required for a black belt, but he could not complete it due to his father's transfer. During this, the actor also talked about Hollywood and Bollywood action.

The actor said that in the country, there is an attempt to copy Hollywood action scenes, due to which this attempt fails miserably. He said that if action films are made by connecting with our roots, then even Hollywood will not be able to match them. He further said that 'Veda' is an action film based on the roots of the country.

During this, Abhishek also praised Raghav Juyal and Lakshya's film Kill. He said that 'Kill' directed by Nikhil Nagesh also had some good action scenes.
