Reflecting on her journey with the show, she shares, “When I auditioned, I didn’t even know it was a Balaji Telefilms production. But I instantly felt that I could ace this role. Once I learned more about the character and the story, I knew I had to do it. It was an opportunity I couldn’t miss.”
Anubha, who has previously been seen in Nishedh and Yudhra, embraces the complexity of her character, Adeeba. “She has such a distinct personality—her unique hairstyles, her quirky way of speaking, and the way she carries herself all contribute to who she is. Initially, she seems harmless, even comical, but as the story unfolds, you realize she is struggling with deep insecurities. She will go to any extent to protect her self-image, and that’s what makes her such an interesting character.” She further reveals that she collaborated closely with the creative team to ensure Adeeba’s visual identity stood out, making her an unforgettable presence on screen.
With Power Of Paanch spanning 50 episodes, Anubha acknowledges the challenges and rewards of working on a long-format web series. “This was a first for me in terms of duration and commitment. Playing Adeeba for such an extended period gave me the chance to deeply explore her psyche and build a strong connection with the audience. The response has been overwhelming! People love to hate my character, which tells me I’ve done justice to the role.” She adds that fan messages have been pouring in, with viewers praising her performance, making all the hard work worthwhile.
