Akshay Kumar promised to give so many crores of rupees to help the flood-affected people

Punjab has been affected by severe floods recently. Many people lost their lives here due to the floods. Thousands of people have been displaced. Many Bollywood celebs have extended their hands to help the flood-affected people of Punjab. Actor Akshay Kumar's name has now been added to this episode. He has promised to give Rs 5 crore to help in relief and rehabilitation work in Punjab.

Confirming the news, Akshay Kumar said, 'Yes, I am giving five crore rupees to buy relief material for Punjab flood victims. Who am I to give 'donation' to anyone? When I get a chance to extend a helping hand, I feel blessed. For me, this is my service. This is a small contribution of mine. I pray that this natural calamity that has befallen my brothers and sisters in Punjab gets over soon.'

This is not the first time Akshay Kumar has extended a helping hand to people in times of humanitarian crisis. He also helped people during the Chennai floods and the Covid-19 pandemic. He has supported the families of soldiers under the 'Bharat Ke Veer' initiative. He uses his influence and resources to help others.

Actor Diljit Dosanjh released an emotional message on the flood havoc in Punjab. He praised the patience of the people and said 'Punjab is wounded but not defeated.'

Earlier, Diljit Dosanjh had adopted 10 most affected villages in Gurdaspur and Amritsar. He is working here in collaboration with the government and NGOs.
