Asha Bhosle’s recent demise left the world of music devastated. However, now singer and instrumentalist Adnan Sami has paid tribute to Asha Bhosle. He discussed how much she meant to him and how her contributions would be celebrated for years to come. But Adnan Sami also said, "I won’t miss her."

Speaking to ANI, Adnan Sami remembered Asha Bhosle, saying, "I won't miss her. For me, she's still alive here. The only thing missing is that I can't talk to her on the phone, nor can I sing with her, nor can I perform with her."

As far as her personality and spirit are concerned, she will live on forever. Speaking about his family's personal connection with Asha Bhosle, Adnan said, "As my daughter Medina says, she is Medina's grandmother. She calls her 'Dadi'. She is important in our hearts and in our family. She is a precious treasure for all of us. She will always live on through her art and voice."

Sharing an anecdote from his collaboration with Asha Bhosle, Adnan Sami said, "Her ideas were very modern and progressive. I was recording with her in London for the first time. I grew up there and am well aware of the culture there. It is different from Indian culture."

We call our parents' friends uncle or aunty. That's our way of respecting elders. It's not like that abroad. I introduced her as Asha ji in London. I told her her name was Asha ji. When she came into the recording room, everyone called her Asha Ji. She was very happy. She even made Indian-style tea for everyone. Later, I told her that I had added a word to her name.
