Ayushmann Khurrana shifts focus from comedies to playing the lead in a serious drama. This project will be directed by Sameer Saxena, who directed Kaala Paani. The production companies behind this film are Yash Raj Films and Posham Pa Pictures.

The shoot of this film starring Ayushmann Khurrana kicked off rather secretly sometime in early April and will continue through till the end of May. However, the title of this Ayushmann Khurrana film is still not known. It will apparently portray a story that will be kept a secret. But it has been said that Ayushmann will play a common man who ends up in a highly threatening situation.

This is Ayushmann Khurrana's third film with Yash Raj Films. He has previously worked on "Dum Laga Ke Haisha" and "Meri Pyaari Bindu." This is also the first theatrical release for Posham Pa Pictures. He has previously produced Netflix films like "Mamala Legal Hai" and "Home Shanti."

Ayushmann Khurrana is going to be very busy this year. His films "Pati Patni Aur Woh Do," "Udta Teer" (with Sara Ali Khan), and Sooraj Barjatya's "Yeh Prem Mol Liya" are also scheduled for release. All three films will release either this year in 2026 or next year in 2027.
