It seems that Taapsee Pannu often makes headlines owing to something she says. Recently, she spoke about her issues with body image. Taapsee Pannu said that she went to great lengths in order to keep herself slender. She tortured herself in that process. She recalled one such moment when she felt immense pressure.

Taapsee Pannu shared on her Instagram Stories, "I remember being obsessed with having a flat stomach because I was very fit growing up, but I never understood why I always had lower abdominal fat. I worked out so hard to lose it that I exhausted myself beyond measure." It's absolutely true that when you overexert yourself, an alarm bell rings in your brain that your body needs protection.

Taapsee further explained that instead of expelling water, the body begins to retain it. Consequently, the fat in the lower abdomen, which isn't just fat but also water retention, remains there. Excessive exercise further increases this risk. Taapsee believes that people shouldn't do this at all.

Taapsee further explained that every woman's body is different, and we should accept this. She explained that she realized this too late, after torturing herself too much. Then she realized that some days her stomach looks a little bloated, and some days it doesn't.

She said, "My nutritionist explained to me that it's actually important to have a little fat and a little water stored in the lower abdomen. This is because that's where your reproductive organs are located, which need protection." As a woman, you need that protection." She concluded, "It's healthy for you. So, please don't torture yourself just to post perfect-looking photos on Instagram. A little bulge and a little fat in the lower abdomen is considered healthy."

Taapsee Pannu was last seen in the film "Assi," directed by Anubhav Sinha. The film didn't do well at the box office.
