The battle over the rights of the film is still not over, and now, reports are coming that one of the lead stars of the film, Paresh Rawal, has walked out of the film and returned his signing amount of ₹11 lakh plus 15% interest. However, Paresh Rawal has not confirmed this officially. Priyadarshan, the film’s director, has spoken openly about the issue.

According to the Economic Times, when they contacted Priyadarshan to clarify Paresh Rawal's future in the film, the filmmaker, who is set to direct the third installment of the iconic franchise, said, "I'm not aware of that."

This isn't the first time reports of Paresh leaving the film have surfaced. In 2025, Akshay Kumar reportedly filed a ₹25 crore lawsuit against him after his sudden departure from the film. However, the matter was later resolved when Paresh Rawal returned to the project.

Earlier, in a conversation with Shubhankar Mishra, Akshay Kumar had revealed that the film was not being made right now. He said, "Hera Pheri 3 isn't happening right now. I was shocked myself. It's okay, 'Welcome' is done. I'll have to recite some mantras to make things work out. It's not even a year yet. There are a lot of issues with it, it's not like the three of us (actors) aren't together."

Let us tell you that the film 'Hera Pheri 3' has been embroiled in legal trouble since the beginning. Production house Seven Arts International filed a case against the film's makers, claiming that Sajid Nadiadwala only had the rights to remake one film. However, the producers made a sequel. Regarding the first film, 'Hera Pheri', which was released in 2000, Seven Arts alleged that Nadiadwala violated the agreement by making the sequel, 'Phir Hera Pheri', in 2006 and then acquiring the rights to the film with Akshay Kumar's production house.
