Mumbai: Television actor Mohsin Khan has announced his engagement to Tamanna with a heartfelt note on social media, recalling the first time they met and the moment he felt she was someone special.

Sharing a romantic message for his fiancée on Instagram, the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor described Tamanna as “crazy beautiful, confident” and “sensitive,” adding that she was always laughing, teasing, hoping and praying. Recalling their early moments, he wrote that from the first time they looked at each other, the first time he held her hand, to the first time she sang “Hum toh bhai jaise hai waise rahenge,” he knew something within him settled. “I had found my Person,” he said.

Mohsin shared pictures from their intimate ceremony. In one, the couple posed with a bouquet of flowers in classic black-and-white outfits. Other images showed Tamanna in a white dress and later a red gown, with Mohsin in a black suit, white shirt and red tie. Another frame captured Tamanna showing her engagement ring.

In the caption he wrote that this “crazy beautiful confident sensitive girly” who was always laughing, teasing, hoping, praying, dancing and singing had been written for him in the heavens. He said he had always been told that when one’s forever person arrives, the decision becomes both the easiest and the most important one will ever make—perhaps their story was already written in the stars, or two people simply found each other at the moment they were meant to.

As they began a new journey of love, friendship and a lifetime of memories, he quoted from her favourite film a line about not knowing what love is but praying that her eyes never fill with tears and that she always keeps smiling. Of all their promises and dreams, he said, the most beautiful was to find a home in each other. “Here’s to us, my love. And to the beginning of our forever,” he wrote, tagging her handle.

The announcement drew congratulatory messages from television colleagues and friends. Divyanka Tripathi and Shraddha Arya wrote “Congratulations.” Samridhii Shukla said the couple looked beautiful together and wished them a lifetime of happiness. Nia Sharma posted: “Love and luck forever.. beautiful this is.”

Mohsin rose to fame as Kartik Goenka opposite Shivangi Joshi’s Naira Singhania in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, a role that earned him a strong fan following and established him as a popular face on television.
