HYDERABAD — Marking the occasion of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s birthday, production house KVN Productions and director Bobby Kolli have officially announced the title of the veteran actor’s highly anticipated 158th feature film as Kaaka. The team unveiled a first-look title glimpse and locked a worldwide theatrical release date for January 13, 2027, aligning the action entertainer for the lucrative Sankranthi festival season.

The newly released teaser introduces Chiranjeevi as K. Satyam, a composed middle-aged supervisor managing operations at Ammaji Aqua Industries in Ravulapalem. The character oversees a diverse workforce from across the country, balancing high-pressure production deadlines with a calm demeanor.

However, the title glimpse quickly shifts tone from mundane workplace routine to high-octane action. In a key sequence, an employee accidentally drops a set of keys—bearing an "I Love Dad" keychain—into an industrial shrimp pool. Satyam retrieves the keys using a high-powered industrial electromagnet, pulling up a heavy cache of concealed firearms along with them. The promotional video then transitions into a stylized flashback, teasing a younger, weapon-clad avatar of Chiranjeevi, confirming that Satyam’s background is rooted in explosive conflict.

Production Milestones and On-Ground Updates

The announcement comes on the heels of major production milestones. According to sources close to the production unit, the crew has completed over 40 days of principal photography and recently finalized the edit for the film's first half.

The first half culminates in a massive interval action sequence recently shot in Hyderabad following an initial schedule in Pollachi. Industry insiders report that the edit of this sequence delivered strong narrative pacing, seamlessly blending dramatic tension, character-driven humor, and grand action choreography.

Director Bobby Kolli previously collaborated with Chiranjeevi on the 2023 box-office hit Waltair Veerayya. Kaaka marks their second joint venture, with KVN Productions backing the project on a substantial scale under the producer leadership of Venkat K. Narayana.
